Bury Knowle’s biggest, brightest totally free event!

Come and join the crowds in Bury Knowle Park for the 14th annual Headington Summer Funday!

Saturday 13th July, 2pm – 5pm in Bury Knowle Park

It promises to be another great afternoon in with friends, family… and people you don’t even know. There’s free tea & cakes, a free barbecue, a free bouncy castle – in fact, everything is free!

Show off your skill in the Penalty shoot-out or flex your muscles in the Tug-of-War! Will last year’s new attraction the Big Bouncy Assault Course be back? Will the exciting Raingutter Regatta return?

Who knows, but all the usuals will be there: Face painting, Big inflatables, Bang-a-nail, Crazy games, Live music, Splat for the toddlers, a Prayer Space tent, and much more.

So why not come along and join in – or sit back and watch with a cuppa – and just enjoy being part of the Headington community!

14th Headington Funday

Fourteen years and no sign of stopping yet!

The Headington Funday has run for the past 13 years, and usually the weather is fantastic, but we have faced torrential rain and winds strong enough to destroy gazebos! But on those lovely summer days in Bury Knowle Park we expect some 2,000 to 3,000 guests.

It has always been a happy, relaxed atmosphere, with something for all ages, from crazy games to a quiet cuppa, and we are hoping for more of the same this year. Why not join us on Saturday 13th July from 2 – 5pm in Bury Knowle Park, Headington?

Thanks to our donors

We are very grateful to those who support us

The Funday is organised and partially funded by Churches Together in Headington, the umbrella organisation which brings together all the churches in Headington, regardless of denomination.

Generous donations from local shops, businesses and organisations and our member churches makes up the remainder of our funding – that’s how it can be maintained as a free event for all who attend.

Can you help? There’s lots to do!

The Funday works because of some 100 volunteers form the local churches coming along and making the event run with a lovely, gracious spirit. Some start early to set up the site, some stay late to pack away, others man the event itself, and some do the whole day. Can you help this year?
